I took out only one cartridge - it was yellow. He printed with blue ink. I sent them all back. I had to buy a branded product from a local store. What happened to quality control? I assume that all yellow cartridges are defective. I was almost tempted to try all the cartridges and swap them out when they were all wrong, but my kid reminded me that the printer was programmed to recognize colors based on the electronic cartridge labels, so it was a total loss. ug. Such a pain! Here are some photos showing the yellow ink tank in the printhead: it should be yellow, but it's green. The syringe is used to flush the ink tank to remove bad Retch ink from the printhead. What a great pain! I've never had a problem with this printer before this cartridge, now the errors don't stop. Like other reviewers, I got the error message "There is a problem with the ink supply system". A printhead that appears to have been damaged by this ink costs $125 to $250 depending on the retailer. What an expensive cartridge!
