This hose is used in a static situation. He lies flat on the ground and never moves. He's under constant pressure. Flexible metal coating is durable. The problem is the male end of the hose where the flexible end connects to the male hose fitting. It looks like the flexible end is attached to the male end with some sort of heat shrink tubing. Water constantly flows out of the hose (drop by drop). The hose is under constant pressure as it is used to automatically fill the water level in my pool as it evaporates. I've tried stopping the leak with gaskets on the connection side of the nozzle but to no avail. When used in non-pressurized mode, it's great. Very flexible.
