I am new to painting and use the cheap brushes that sometimes come with beginner acrylics. Then I got this brush set! Of course, I quickly realized how important really good brushes are. I love this set! The moment you touch or grab one of them you can tell they are a step ahead of what I'm used to. They have nice thick handles, soft bristles and come in a variety of styles. I like to see how the fan-shaped ones work with color differently than the pointed or angular ones. I often use a palette knife (and I'm learning new terms like palette knife). They also seem easier and fuller to clean than cheap brushes - I'm not sure why, but I found it so. I like the holder, they came too. I'm so glad they are used in my amateur work!
