You get a lot of mediocre potholders.
The coating on them wears off and starts to rust wherever the skin touches it. They are difficult to hammer into hardwood furniture such as oak or maple. They can work for pine, but due to the length of the tack, they bend easily, requiring re-stretching and re-tacking to get straight lines. I'm not sure if there are professional cushion pot holders? If that's all you can find, they will work, just don't put them where they come in contact with bare skin.
