I've tried both small and large. I got a small one from my podiatrist and found that the elastic part around the foot is too small. This should technically be the size I want, but the seams were causing pain on my foot, and no matter how loosely I undid the velcro straps, the internal stretchable leg coverage was too tight and the seam was interfering with my foot and entire body. Leg hurts from pressure. So I thought I'd try a larger size but then the braces piece was too big. The orthotic design is pretty good, it kept my foot (except for the compression part mentioned above) really comfortably in the right amount of stretch for my plantar fasciitis. so my foot is much wider than usual, but not wide, and part of the foot is more suitable for narrow feet. If you have narrower feet and plantar fasciitis, I recommend this brace. However, if you have a slightly wide forefoot, this orthosis is not for you.
