My beep: road running

I work in a quiet cubicle. In this quiet area, I can hear air moving in and out of the sole, which is a bit annoying. And when the shoes get wet, that air sounds like a croaking duck, which is very uncomfortable. So I don't know if these are universal shoes or if I got a defective pair. The tongue of the shoe isn't a flat part at the top, it's more of a tunnel. There is elastic fabric on the sides that wraps around to the bottom of the shoe. So if you don't like tight stuff on the top of your foot, this might be uncomfortable for you. Even if, like me, you buy a half size too big, if you don't stock very wide shoes, that tight tongue can be a problem. My mom cut the rubber band which helped. It's not the shoes either, but I usually buy 11 1/2 wide shoes. And I tried on this shoe at the store at 11 1/2. But since the 11 1/2 was generally too small for me, I didn't notice that these shoes have a very narrow leather strip on the front of the tongue. I even bought 12 to get a little more room as this has worked with the Nike Air Turbulence in the past. But while it looks like a partial mesh shoe that can stretch, it doesn't and doesn't look like it will ever stretch. So they still sit tight in the toe area even after the tongue modification. However, it's my fault for not doing more research.
