Review on ๐Ÿ‘ถ VTech VM351-2 Video Baby Monitor: Enhanced Vision with Interchangeable Wide-Angle Optical Lens and Standard Optical Lens by Adrianne Jimenez

The cameras are dark, the changes from the previous version are ambiguous. UPDATE - both cameras are dead

We bought this to replace our old model of the same item and it was great except got finicky about the cable to keep it inside. On this new one, they've replaced the USB connector with a much more secure but non-replaceable connector. This is +1. However, changing the buttons was a step backwards. The button that switches from single camera to patrol is now hidden in the menu instead of a separate button, although there is enough space on the front panel for it. The cameras aren't great either. One of them isn't even in color. They are zoomed in too much without being able to zoom out. The old ones had a much more versatile zoom function. Not only that, the image lags and stutters, and the image SLOWS DOWN when you press the talk button. We had no choice but to replace it, but man, I wish the plug on the old one didn't break. Can't you advertise that it supports 4 cameras, sell it with 2 and then say you can't add more or replace one if it breaks? Who designed this?! Regret this purchase. Pull yourself together, VTech. I won't buy anything from them anymore. LATEST update, cameras are dead now. Wish us luck as there doesn't seem to be a reliable baby monitor from any brand. Of course I will never buy VTech again.
