Review on Hoover CH30000 🧹 PortaPower Lightweight Commercial Vacuum by Corey Greene

I really wanted to love this vacuum cleaner. It's beautifully designed, at least if you like a solid commercial aesthetic. The parts fit together beautifully and the chrome shines against the grey/orange color scheme. I really enjoyed collecting it. I liked that it wasn't as noisy as my previous vacuum, and kids and cats didn't run out of the room when I turned it on. . I felt like I was chasing dirt and not sucking it up. I had to put my hand on the nozzle to make sure it actually worked and yes, if you put your hand directly on the tube you can feel the suction. Moderate suction power. I have found that if I sweep very well beforehand it can pick up some of the remaining dirt. But forget anything stuck in the cracks between the floorboards. When I wasn't very good at sweeping, I would end up on my knees picking up scraps of fabric and loose threads that the vacuum couldn't pick up. After some experimentation it was clear that the suction power wasn't strong enough to spread efficiently over the floor nozzles and the best result was achieved with a crevice tool or a bare nozzle. Moving a 1-inch pipe back and forth across the surface of our tiny house would make vacuuming a long and tedious task. Just so you know, if you buy bags to use with this machine you'll also need to buy an adapter, another $10 or so. The adapter is just a funnel with a small rubber band that you wrap around the neck of the bag. When changing the pouch, run into the gaping opening of the funnel while fiddling with the rubber band. It wouldn't be a deal breaker if the machine actually worked, but I was a little unhappy about having to watch/breathe what I'd just cleared off the floor. The vacuum I'm replacing is nothing out of the ordinary, just a 10 year old handheld vacuum, an unglamorous and clunky plastic machine whose suction power has seen better days. This new vacuum cleaner has a weaker suction power than a 10 year old vacuum cleaner. He returns to where he came from. I really don't understand how this product has such good reviews - doesn't seem like it will help much when you have some real dirt to clean up. I don't feel like I have particularly high hopes for a vacuum, but if that's the case with vacuums in this price range, I may need to double my budget and buy an entry-level Miele. Actually I just did it.
