There are quite a few negative reviews about this watch, so many I almost bought it. Perhaps my expectations were so low that I was pleasantly surprised when it worked exactly as advertised. The watch itself is attractive, if more elegant, which was actually a mixed virtue given that I bought it as an activity tracker to wear outdoors in situations where my phone was either distressing or at risk. However, the watch looks so nice that I don't want to ruin it. It is comfortable to wear, but its thickness is a few millimeters more than normal. Long sleeves cling and cuffs wear out over time. The dial with white letters and numbers on a chocolate background with silver hands and indexes is clearly visible. All of the hands and metal traces strike me as overly bright, like Christmas tree tinsel, but the watch looks nice if not expensive like most smartwatches. Although the hands shine a little, the glow is weak, but it shines for several hours. Most of them will continue to use the Timex Indiglo feature. The chocolate honeycomb pattern bracelet looks traditionally chic. I like that the watch has a regular battery and doesn't need to be charged every night. I also like that the tracker/clock looks like a regular analog clock. As mentioned, I read the manual fully before attempting to use it, downloaded the latest Timex 4.1.11.11 app from Google Play, and allowed the watch to update its firmware before trying to sync it. I've had the watch for two weeks now and have had no problems syncing it to my phone. The Timex app is not as comprehensive as Google Fit and the tracker only works with the Timex app. The watch tracking seems to mirror my phone's tracking as well as the activity tracking on the Apple device I have. Neither match exactly, but time and distance appear to be close across all three devices. I love the way the watch looks and it works exactly as advertised. Maybe I just snagged a good one and maybe this will all go away with the next firmware update or battery change, maybe it's infecting all my other devices with Blue Borne malware, but for now I have to say it was exactly what was advertised to will.
