Review on Fahren Forenner 9012/HIR2 LED Headlight Bulbs: 12000 Lumens, 400% Brightness, Cool White 6500K - Halogen Replacement (Pack of 2) by David Jones

Saw a youtube video on how to install these special LED headlights on a 2014 Chevy Volt. Watch the video and find the installation of Forenner LEDs on the Chevy Volt. Bought these LEDs and installed them with no major problems. Both LEDs came on immediately and there were no problems other than having to swap the power plugs on both LEDs as instructed in the installation guide. Additional cables and a control box are located just inside the case next to the LED and cap. comes back with no changes. Because these LEDs run about 100 degrees cooler than the 9012 halogen bulb you're replacing, you don't need to vent the cap like some people suggest in other LED installation videos. I had a 50% chance of getting 1 right, but I managed to get both power plugs in the wrong way around, but by flipping the power plugs they worked fine! First I installed the LED on the driver's side, then checked that it was on, but it wasn't, so I reversed the connector. It worked great. I've included another LED that's a little harder to reach since the air filter housing is in the way, but you simply remove the top of the housing, lift it up a bit by pushing backwards and to the left, and then pull the bottom filter housing (2 connectors on the back) and it moves back a few inches giving you easy access to the right hand headlight housing cover. Once installed, simply follow the steps to reinstall the filter in reverse order, check operation and adjust the bulb on this page. 3 hours. Note that once installed, the wire will exit the fan housing at either the top or bottom to bring the LED alignment to 9-3! So install the LED, see where the wire sits and take it out, loosen and twist the collar, tighten the collar and reinstall. Check the direction of the wire if you did it up or down, otherwise move the collar and check again. Repeat until the wire is properly aligned. Enjoy the new world.
