Does anyone have a fix for the main broken feature?

Installation was fairly easy but the main reason I bought this unit was to be able to see my phone's screen for GPS and movies/TV on the screen. When I plug in my phone, the first inch of the screen seems to work fine, but anything below that is nothing more than static. If it were easy to fix, it would cost money. It's not the most durable in the world, but for less than $50, at least the Bluetooth connection works just fine. Anyone know how to fix this? The instructions are very limited and say nothing about the actual functionality of the software. This is a buy at your own risk and to make it work. But for the price it's not bad.

PLEASE check the kind note in the description, IMPORTANT! 1. Please make sure the Bluetooth is connected. Otherwise nothing can be heard during the call. 2. The radio needs a stronger signal. 3. Please check the cable connection if the camera shows no picture while the car is reversing.
