Good for moths. The only problem is we have a rescue dog that we believe was beaten as a puppy. Every time someone holds something like a stick, they run into the street. (We have a pet door.) Even if he's sleeping on the couch, quite a distance away, if he's awake enough to see me swing the lightning bolt in the air or hear it click, he'll run outside. I've stopped using it when he's around and left it where he can smell it himself. I can get him to come to me if I hold him now, but we still have a long way to go. Hopefully, with patience and the right pace, he can overcome some of that ingrained fear. I hope so for him. I killed about a dozen moths and didn't charge it as mine was loaded in the box. Note: Never use it near a pet. This is not a toy. It does the job it was designed for.
