I bought this case for my essential 2TB SSD to store PS4 games so I can play them on my PS5 without taking up space on my internal PS5 drive to prove. Downloading them from my PS4 was easy. When I connected the drive to my PS5 it was not recognized. I took the drive out of the case and used a SATA to USB 3 adapter and the drive showed up on my PS5. I tried unplugging the included USB cable to see if it was the culprit, but it didn't matter which cable I used, the drive in the case didn't work on my PS5. As far as I could tell the case seemed to be a good match for other devices and the build quality seemed decent, metal on top, plastic on the bottom; Compatibility, at least with my PS5, was an issue though. I've decided to return the device and order a different metal case that matches my PS5 purely visually.
