Overall it was fairly easy to use and install. My husband did this about 30 minutes after removing the existing fixture in my daughter's room. Small enough and low enough to fit in a medium sized bedroom. It's also so unobtrusive that we don't have to worry if she gets on the bed and jumps up! It has multiple speeds and is fairly quiet, which is great for sleeping. We usually keep it low for the last few months and it works well. You can change the color of the light from warm to cool, but I think she prefers warm light. In general, there were no particular difficulties with this. It had everything to install and decent instructions.
