Review on Dell SE2416HX Screen LED Lit Monitor 23.8", 1920X1080P, HDMI by Russell Rodriguez

The first SE2416HX we bought failed within a month. but Revain processed this purchase as expected and I was sent a 'new' ether of the 2nd day which arrived a day early (today). while it works fine. The image provided is simply amazing compared to my old 40 lb 17 inch monitor. Attractive glossy black case with an image so sharp and so clear it's unbelievable for an old man like me. But after a bad experience with a BAD monitor (the first one died less than a month after delivery), I decided to spend some time investigating and found that Dell's reputation for quality was directly related to my experience with this one Monitor stand damaged. The ONLY review I read was of defective hardware covered by a warranty reduced from Dell's previous standard 3 year warranty to now a very negligible 1 year or even just 90 days. I had to read ALL the details, and with great attention to detail. The situation at Dell looks really bleak. The new monitor arrived today. So I didn't have much time to evaluate the whole system. calculator and monitor. My suggestion now (and I used to recommend Dell) is that if you're thinking of buying a computer, read the details of EVERYTHING. closely. and DO NOT take the sales rep's word for it. get it in writing. and that you do BIG research to find out which manufacturer gets the most complaints and THEN buy from another manufacturer. But as bad as this review sounds, I have to say. I've said this before and I'll say it again. as often as necessary, listen to as many people as possible. nobody. and I mean NOBODY. provides customer service like Revain. Revain customer service is the ONLY reason this review got so many stars!
