I've had this chair for a little over a year and haven't had to repair it like I do with most other office chairs. It's very strong! Me and my colleagues use it as the only chair for our department. This gives him many advantages. A few things though. Thing is HUGE! I'm 6ft 5" tall and I have a hard time getting in without stepping on something else first! For some of my colleagues, the chair slipped out from under them because they couldn't lean back far enough into the seat without moving. I didn't realize it was a large chair when I ordered it. I wish that was explained in the product description. However, this is a high quality chair.
