Review on JR Products GSNI 5200 50 Spring Trailer by Jose Guevara
bought these to replace fj40 tailgate springs
they fit fj40 stock tailgates that use a spring inside. You'll have to change the ends on them to fit. You can grind/polish the ends or just take them off. But if you remove them, they won't reach their full height. You also have to round off the plastic ends a bit, but that works great.
