Rhode Island Novelty Rainbow Spring Review

I bought this for my grandkids to see if we could get it to go UP on the escalator. Unfortunately, the one we tried has steps that are too deep. The profile must be about 1.5 times the diameter of the slinky to achieve high mileage. Anyway... On the stairs next to the escalator it worked GREAT.

Gave this to my son for his eighth birthday and four months later he's still a regular (in this crazy electronic age, that's saying something!). It holds up well to rough play, detangles effortlessly, and inspires all kinds of fun, imaginative play. It's more than you think!

This is amazing! Obviously when I bought it I didn't scroll down to see pics or videos that were already posted. Thing is HUGE! It works well. My 8 year old and 4 year old kids have already seen them and love them. I have 6 year old triplets who don't yet know they're having them. We save them for Easter. Just unbelievable!

My son saw one of these on YouTube and wanted his own. I found this price to be lower than expected, and at the same time I thought it was far fetched or boring. Opening the box, I quickly saw that it was bright and vibrant with the same color, the material was thick enough to provide an actual springy effect and not break, and see how it all stretched across the living room , wasn't just great for my son. but for the whole family. I can get another to see the two together!

My 3 year old destroyed a metal spring (original brand Slinky) in minutes. I decided to try this giant version and I'm really impressed. He's had it for a couple of weeks now and apart from getting tangled up a couple of times we haven't had any problems at all. If my son accidentally gets tangled in the nib, it untangles very easily and doesn't deform in any way (unlike the metal nib mentioned above). Jumbo Magic Spring is too big for small hands. My daughter could only pull it for fun. Also, it often gets tangled and I spent a lot of time untangling it for her. On the other hand, it doesn't kink because it's made of durable plastic and not metal like other spring toys. I've unraveled it many times with no kinks. I bought this for my niece on a whim after seeing a friend's son enjoying his own rainbow bodycon dress so much. If I were to rate this product alone I would give it a 5. The slinks themselves are made of durable plastic. The coils do not get mixed up and do not bend. Perfect for modeling light and sound waves - something I wanted to do with this in sixth grade science class. But be prepared: if you order more than one, you may not receive the same bottom size.
