UPDATE: 12/31/20 Since we put this tree up, we've had some strong winds on 12/30/20 and about 5 inches of snow on 12/30/20 and here tree always stands still perfect! All the lights still work and the zipper threads don't move. So this tree is meant to be inside and outside. Out of the box, it can't handle road weather without some tweaking. The lights just lay on the tree, so the wind just flapped them. It was very easy to assemble. I did it in about 5 minutes. It's so bright and the different glowing patterns are just beautiful. The video is wrong! I bought it for the road so I knew I had to make modifications to make it stand up to the wind. What I did was tie each light strand to the tree loops: one at the bottom, one in the middle, and one at the top. I also used ground stakes and zip ties to hold it in the ground. It's quite a windy day today and so far it's still nice! This is from November in Illinois! Highly recommended!
