The crop scale is wrong and I haven't seen a way to adjust it. In the end I use a ruler to put the cut in the right position. The position marker moves slightly, so it needs to be tightened to make sure it doesn't slip off when cutting. The paper slides easily under the locator, so I held it and held the paper with one hand while making a notch with the other hand. I'm not sure if it cuts 12 sheets and maintains a straight cut, I cut 5 to 6 sheets at a time and that seems to be the maximum that can safely be cut at one time. Overall it does what I need, but it's not the most comfortable to use. Still better than other cutters I've tried.
