Exceptional gate with a fairly simple and easy installation!

I was pleasantly surprised by this gate. I was a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but found almost all of the negative reviews to be unfounded. I will do my best to dismiss some of these negative reviews unless the person has a quality control issue for some reason. So let's dive into my review first: Pros: - It seems to be a solid construction, the welds look good. - The color matches the decor of our house, which is not necessary but a plus. - I found the template sufficient, although I don't end up using it for the latch side. - The instructions are simple and very easy to understand. - Nice that you only need two screws and you can completely remove the gate. - It's nice to be able to use the included hardware to make it so that the gate only opens in one direction (or both if that's what you want). - Excellent price. When I bought it, it was around $32 and its price was lower than the competition. Cons: The locking parts (attached to the wall) are plastic, so I'm concerned about prolonged wear and how that might affect the locking. I've seen similar gates with similar hardware for quite some time, so I'm hoping it's the same. The included hardware (screws) was enough for about 2 inches in length, but I'll admit I was hoping for a thicker diameter. screw. Although that's not really a problem. However, there are problems here. So I can't agree with some reviews. If the screws come out of the wall, it's obvious that they didn't put the screws into the shelf or wood. My little one pushes and pulls the gate with force. However, the screws should have the least amount of slope since they were properly drilled into the studs. Please use common sense and use a smaller drill bit than the screw to ensure a good anchorage to the wood. Someone mentioned that the screws "don't go through the railing". I don't know how that's even possible if you drill and install. The gate is too difficult to unlock. Both my wife and I have no problem with one hand holding the baby on my hip. Press the plastic latch with your thumb and push the door up with your other fingers. Very easy. People complain that the adjustment of the gate is done only with the help of the upper and lower plastic parts that fix the two parts of the gate. People complain that if you need another half inch or an inch, you're out of luck. No, you are not like that. Therefore, set the gate as close to the installation as possible and then use the four mounting points, screwing clockwise or counter-clockwise to make the minor adjustments needed. If I remember correctly, the manual says that each of the four points can be adjusted almost 2 inches. Lots of space for the necessary adjustments. I'm not a frontman for the company, but sometimes poor quality attempts to install something bother me, so I feel I need to write a detailed review. People need to slow down, read instructions, and plan and measure before installing. If you do this, you will be fine. It took me about 20 minutes to plan my removal, mark my holes, drill, install and finish. Great goal, otherwise don't let negative feedback sway you.
