I just received this fan and had it professionally installed. It was installed on the trusses of my boathouse and works within the trusses. First, we didn't need an ornate fan with bright lights. We wanted a simple 3 speed train. Finally, how often do you change the fan speed. After trying to buy a similar fan from Hunter I finally gave up and contacted their so called tech support and explained my claim to them. When I called Emerson Technical Support I found a very knowledgeable person who helped me with my application (constant humidity) and pointed me in the right direction. This fan is easy to install (in my case I had to make a prop), looks great, is very quiet, perfectly balanced and looks like it has been in a billiard room for 50 years. I would highly recommend this fan and have a feeling Emerson will back the warranty if there is a problem. Bought for about $200 from Revain.
