The product appears to be well made but when I first plugged it in the light went on and then off. I had to turn it off and on a few times for it to work. Then when I turned the sound on it made a horrible rattling sound like something was loose inside. I finally took it apart and found that some of the insulation wrapped around the inside of the coil of wire had come loose because the blue tape holding it together had come loose and stuck right into the fan blades. Luckily I was able to wrap the insulating material tightly around the coil and attach the blue tape. I'm not sure I could have done it if my fingers weren't long and thin. It works fine now and no problems so far. The light has a fading effect, which is nice. The only thing I would have liked would have been glow-in-the-dark icons on the keys because they are very difficult to find in the dark. But the white noise produced by this machine is excellent. love this product!
