The product appears to be well made but when I first plugged it in the light went on and then off. I had to turn it off and on a few times for it to work. Then when I turned the sound on it made a horrible rattling sound like something was loose inside. I finally took it apart and found that some of the insulation wrapped around the inside of the coil of wire had come loose because the blue tape holding it together had come loose and stuck right into the fan blades.
