I personally really like these shoes and can't speak for others. I'm not very picky, but in my opinion they are not that bad. So I got them in size 12 or EU 46, which is larger than my usual size in case the sizes don't fit or run small. Now I'm sorry I didn't get them in my actual size but don't worry I added another layer of orthotics and it's not too bad and I still prefer my shoes to be a little bigger to to offer more comfort. In case anyone is thinking or about to make the same mistake as me, this size 12 is just over 12 inches long, the widest part is around 4.5 inches and the fingertips are just over 2 inches wide. . I was able to stretch the stretch collar up to 6 inches wide, which is just enough for me to slide into these shoes with ease. The mesh fabric is slightly stretchy and breathable, but definitely not flimsy or see-through. Just to check, I even shone a very bright flash on the shoes while putting them on and to be honest I can't see through my feet, just saying :). The soft rubber soles are thick and have good traction to minimize slipping. I have plantar fasciitis and these shoes are very comfortable in heels. As for the arch support, I got it from a spare set of orthos :). Other than that I personally have no issues with these shoes, they are great for indoor and outdoor use, walking or any other activity. I can't wait to wear them next time I'm outside. People will think I have really big feet and no I don't look like a clown lol. I hope this helps or at least gives you an idea of the sizes when ordering, as I said I should have gotten them for my actual size and not worried about running small. Again very easy to put on and take off which is really comfortable but most importantly I look great in it from my point of view :).
