Unlike factory mirrors, the controls are upside down when flipped up. Someone said programming LEG mode would cure it. But I doubt. What actually tells the door control that the mirror is upright? Be sure to program the LEB and LEC for the puddle lights and turn signals to work. Dealers charge $125-$177 for it, although a guy on the forum did it for $30 (good dealer). I paid $160 and the controls are still upside down. Also, the optical clarity isn't as smooth as factory mirrors (very low distortion like all cheap mirrors). I have a 2017 Tradesman RAM 1500. I bought replacement mirrors from Revain, black rear, not chrome. I just installed them (the long bolt on the inner bolt that hit the door jamb and had to be cut off was already shortened on this version. I think they learned their lesson). Of course, the headlights and indicators didn't work. I took it to the dealer and they programmed the LED and LEC code (puddle light and turn signals). But when I rotated them vertically, the controls were offset 90 degrees (left/right moving them up/down, etc.). So I poked around the internet and somewhere (I can't remember where) I found another code, LEG, that controls the movement when they walk upright. Everyone on the forum said that it only works on factory mirrors and not on the secondary market. And no one, not even the technician at the dealership, knows what is causing the change. Someone has suggested mercury switches in mirrors, but we know this is wrong because the EPA eliminated mercury switches years ago. Anyway, for those of you who want to try it, the LEG code works on my aftermarket mirrors. The tech said that not all aftermarket mirrors may work, but you must have all three codes for these mirrors to work properly. My programming cost was $129 (very expensive in my opinion for something that literally took 15 minutes max).
