I have a 2005 Mazda 6. Behold it gave trouble code P0455 (large EVAP system leak). After much research online, I determined that the EVAP purge valve was probably the culprit. This part was an exact replacement for my flush valve. Removing the existing valve was a bit fiddly - it has 3 hoses attached to it and is difficult to access on the passenger side next to the bulkhead. I was able to do it myself with some effort. After removing the old part I was able to blow it out which proved it was defective as normally (without power) the valve should be closed. This part went into the car just like the old one. After restarting my machine and using an OBDII code reader to reset the code, it's working great now.
