It fit my newborn (8lbs) how i excepted it. It has enough room for him to grow. I love that the gown is stretchy and gives him some wiggle room. Its not really thick so he won't get too hot wearing it. The hat is a just a little big but just like the gown it'll last and he'll grown into it. If your finding a knotted gown as a gift this would be a good one. Im really happy with the whole outfit ☺
