This gadget is amazing value for money. It is easy to use and calibrate. It correctly identifies the most common components. It's relatively accurate: I've tested it successfully with known capacitor and resistor values. I trust the values it returns. I have made it a habit to test each component before soldering it to the board. The only problem I have is that the battery drains very quickly. Now I connect it to an old DC power supply.
