Slightly expensive dock that gets the job done

I've been using it daily for over 2 years now. Overall I would buy again to use in a setup like the one below. - Mini phono dock for speakers - USB-A dock for Lightning (phones, other Apple devices) PROS: - Reasonable size for this variety of connectors - Can power and charge a 15" MBP - I have plugged in the MBP when it was at 2% and then worked all evening as the dock charged it to 100% pretty quickly (reason) - front panel is clean and looks nice on a desk - front panel has a USB-A port, Speakers and microphone, mini-phono for quick "at the moment" hookup - Recognizes 98% of the time as a separate audio interface (good for speaker setup and audio staging) - Connects to my LG monitor ( via DisplayPort) and works 99% of the time - quick unplug/plug solves these CONS: - Same as above, about 1 or 2 times every 3 times Audio interface for Elgato docking station doesn't show up when I use my MBP for over a month wake up from sleep for a long time. Solution: Quickly disconnect/connect USB C from MBP. Did. Small annoyance I wish it wasn't. - As mentioned above, when the MBP wakes up from sleep mode, the monitor might not wake up once every 3 months. Solution: Quickly disconnect/connect USB C from MBP. Did. One small annoyance I wouldn't like is the price: this seems about 30% more expensive than it needs to be, so along with the annoyances above it loses 1 star.

Pros
  • No compromise dock that improves connectivity, audio, video and network
Cons
  • Not bad but...
