Review on IC3D Blue 1 75Mm Printer Filament Additive Manufacturing Products by Scott Rodriguez

I have several brands of 1.75mm PLA filament Tried it out and this one was by far the most reliable.With other brands (mostly Chinese junk sold at premium prices - some even claim they are made in the USA) I would have a lot of problems, the worst of which is that the PLA is knotting - this causes the filament to either break or shred in the extruder as it cannot be fed from the spool.I have now used over 75% of the IC3D spool and have had no problems with the way how this material is wound.Another common problem with filament has to do with the claimed dimensional accuracy.Every other brand I've tried lagged en at the same between 1.55mm and 1.90mm While the IC3D filament is not (and cannot be) 100% accurate in size, it is consistently between 1.68 and 1.75mm; and as far as I can tell the variations are not frequent but occur over large sections of roll (which is better than sporadic jumps). Also, the material is quite round - I've had 24 hour prints from other brands ovalized about 3/4 through the roll, resulting in terrible print quality and a colossal waste of time. The color is actually white - just a little different than "index card" or "white white" - unlike other brands that end up being more of an off-white color. Another bonus is the humidity gauge included on the reel - although I already have digital and analogue gauges for this purpose, it's always nice to have some kind of "rough estimate" of the local environment as a redundancy. It prints well on my i3 between 120mm/s and 150mm/s at 185 degrees Celsius.
