Great replacement for a wood burning fireplace. This device allows us to continue using our fireplace, which requires thousands of dollars to get it up to "safety standards" if we decide to use it as a "burning fireplace." The remote control is pretty self-explanatory and the different color lighting options add a fun "mood effect" if you so desire. It gives off really great heat. It is located in our family room with high ceilings, yet offers exceptional heating. It was literally a simple "plug and plug in" setup. It fits perfectly in our fireplace opening with minimal clearance around it. We plan to buy an overlay to hide the minimum space around the device, but this is for aesthetic purposes only. We definitely recommend this device. The ONLY complaint we have is that it arrived quite late - well ahead of the main shipment and estimated delivery date. Due to bad weather around the factory we have granted a few days delay, but in the past lack of communication and long delays have been a problem. The company was not very responsive to our requests but Revain took great care of us and even gave us a loan as an apology. We will definitely order again despite the issues as the device is of the highest quality. When it finally arrived it was packaged very well.
