I bought these connectors for my waterproof 10mm wide RGB 5050 LED strip. You have successfully connected several pieces of my cut LED strips. I have summarized the installation steps and precautions for reference for other buyers. Installation steps: 1. Carefully cut the LED strip along the cutting line so that the area of 4 copper pins on each LED strip is equal. 2. Peel off the tape on the back of the LED strip around the 4 copper pin area to reveal the 4 copper pins. 3. Short the LED strip in the connector, make sure the + electrode on the LED strip matches the + electrode on the connector, make sure the 4 pins in the connectors fully insert into the 4 copper pins fit on the LED strip. Precautions: When installing these connectors on the RGB 5050 waterproof LED strip, the most important thing is that the 4 pins in the connectors are well connected with the 4 copper pins on the LED strip. In order for the 4 pins in the connectors and the 4 copper pins on the LED strip to be well connected, when cutting the LED strip into 2 LED strips you need to cut along the cutting line very carefully to make sure the area of the copper pins on the 2 LED strips are the same (not big the area of the copper contacts on one LED strip and the smaller one on the other LED strip). If the area of the copper pins on the LED strip is too small, the 4 pins in the connectors cannot fully penetrate the 4 copper pins, and poor electrical conductivity will result. As a result you may get 2 different colors or no colors at all.
