Restoring the pH meter to work
My pH meter was reading incorrectly, probably because the KCl in the storage bottle was diluted. After soaking the probe in fresh solution for 2 days, the pH began to read correctly. I suggest that after measuring the pH of the sample, you rinse the probe with distilled water and then with 3M KCl before placing the probe in 3M KCl.
