I didn't realize I needed lithium batteries for the freezer so I left them on the counter along with regular batteries as a test. The refrigerator kicked in and immediately read 41 degrees. I set it to 39 but I didn't find the 2 degree difference that bad. (Then I tested the apple with my thermal foam and it read 39.) The freezer module on the counter read 79, which I guess was close since it was a warm day and we didn't have the AC on. Then a few seconds later the fridge alarm went off when it hit 42. Well, considering the temperature difference, it was probably only 40 and I didn't have to worry about that, so I turned off the alarm and decided to find out what it's like. do. to reset it later once my testing is complete. Fast forward three days when my Revain lithium batteries arrived and I replaced the alkaline batteries from the freezer module. It still says 79. I thought it was odd since there certainly wasn't a 79 in the house, but I didn't think too deeply about it. I put it in the freezer and forgot. I remembered the next day and looked - there were 79 left. And he was in the freezer. I know my fridge works so it was wrong. I pulled it out. Another 79. Reset the batteries. Another 79. I tried regular alkaline batteries just like that. Still 79. I cleared all max/min results. Neither the cooling nor the freezing modules were refilled with time parameters. Hm. I reload the main unit with a paperclip. Cooling and freezing modules, both on my counter. The fridge says 62 and the freezer says 79. WHAT?!?!? Put them in their respective boxes and in 15 minutes it's 50 in the fridge and 71 in the freezer. I give up. That's ridiculous. I'll be returning them and trying again because I really want them to work, but so far I have little hope. They seemed to work days/weeks. But then our freezer stayed open and. NOTHING. I looked at the main unit of the fridge and - the display was dead. Obviously it was well past the return window so I just gave up and threw all the junk in the bin. I'm not trying again. I can't micromanage this stupid thing - I just need it to WORK.
