Review on Keep Safe On The Road With The Nilight Traffic Advisor Emergency Strobe Light Bar - 17 Inch, 32 LED, 23 Flash Patterns, Cigar Lighter, And 2 Year Warranty by Michael Keegan

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Failing already. good for me

I've had the 24" version for about 2 months(since 10/2014). Within a week, water got in along the sides where the bolt holes are, causing the light to fog behind the lens. I had to reseal it after taking it apart to dry out. The light is on my work truck mounted on the front bumper at headlight height, so no crazy water crossings or anything like that. Just Pacific NW rain. The manufacturer uses some sort of RTV as a sealant which doesn't seem to adhere well to the inside gasket. Silicon sealer worked much better. Also, the screws closest to the lens weren't tight right from the get go. The unit didn't fog after I dried and resealed it.Within the last week 3 LEDs went out in the top row. I get that this isn't a Rigid but really? I wonder how one gets warranty service. It throws good light for sure. I'd give it 4 stars if it wasn't starting to fail already.
