Review on 🧶 Mekbok Knitting Organizer: Portable Knitting Yarn Storage Bag with Multiple Pockets and Compartments - Clear Plastic Tote Bag for Needles, Crochets, and Threads by Kim Sanchez

The bag is ok, I like it when the yarn is separated from the drum where everything gets tangled. But there's one major downside that I didn't realize before buying and wasn't seen in any of the reviews I've read: if you start a project with yarn in a bag, there's no way to delete the yarn/ Project. Until you are done! Conversely, if you start the project outside of the pocket and then decide to put the yarn in the pocket, you can't! See the little ring at the top where the yarn goes through? You need to put the yarn in the zippered compartment and thread it through the small ring at the top. There's no way to open it so that the started project runs through it. Other design flaws: Hardly noticeable in the picture, but there are velcro straps on the top part of the bag closer to the center. I'm guessing they're meant to hold the yarn so it doesn't fall back into your pocket or unravel, but have you worn one before? Velcro on the yarn? It's ok to cut a small piece of yarn to start a project, but I accidentally put a piece of work on my bag when I had to get up very quickly and the velcro caught on it and ruined the yarn. Someone else mentioned that the divider in the bag is just a flap. So if you have little balls of yarn roll them under the flap to the other side and you have to find/feel them. Rolling yarn becomes unraveled and tangled. I like that there is a compartment in the back for finished works, but they are mixed with yarn under the flap. Why do we even need departments when everything is a mess? I still don't like that the bag doesn't stand up like the picture when it's not full. Instead, it bends and collapses on its own. That makes the work difficult. Especially since the plastic is so thick and hard. I also wish the bag had a handy carry handle. It has a shoulder strap but a handle would be nice too. Overall it's better than a yarn drum because you can separate the strands so they don't get tangled, but it could be done a lot better. I'll keep using it until I find something better, but I wouldn't recommend it. Maybe I'll try one of these bags which looks like a basket and has big pockets all over the basket. I could put a skein in each bag, supplies in one bag, and a project in the middle. Easy access to everything and everything is separate. No zippers, flaps or Velcro get in the way. Just an idea. Will update when I try.
