Works well, but not the best. The bushings go into a hole in the wood, but then you don't know if they'll stay on the outer edge or press deeper into the wood. I used a vinyl post grommet to go through my 4x4s and once the grommets are in you can't get them out. Also note that you should not attach the outer ring to the rack until all cables are taut. If you try to tighten them after the rings have been glued to the post, the sticky gel will be sucked into the hole and out of the ring, causing the ring to dangle from the cord. I have purchased a straight hole design for other posts that were a single unit and they worked much better but were awkward to use.
