I used to buy them with no problems. This 3 pack I just bought in December 2019 is terrible. The first filter seemed to work "too fast" - meaning it wasn't collecting/cleaning the water. I've heard of slow threads before, but it was the other way around. I tried it for a week and my kids complained that the water at school tasted like tap water. I always use water for coffee and tea so I didn't realize it until I left some water at room temperature to taste and it was awful. I decided it was a defective filter and prepared a new one. Same results. This time I pulled out my water tester and got proof. 253ppm is my tap water. 232 ppm is the water from this 3 day old filter. It was prepared as instructed, and I even went through the "remove, shake, and rinse" procedure. They just aren't doing their job. I want to keep the old filter to get my money back as these filters are misleading and do not serve their purpose.
