The color is not brass, it is more of a brushed pewter.
I am waiting on my electrician to come and assemble and put it up in the two story foyer. It requires a lot of assembly. I wouldn't begin to do it on my own. I think the brushed pewter will be okay but I did buy it because it was brass in the picture. If you want brass.don't order it. Even the photo on the box is showing it in brass.
