I bought these to replace two 100w 7" round halogen bulbs that are mounted on my bumper. They are much brighter! . I have to agree Not many stains. They throw off a ton of light anywhere, but at close range. That is the reason for 4 and not 5 stars. But they are excellent for their intended use, ie secondary roads and paths. I think a tide ray would be pretty useless unless you want a lot of tide up close. The quality of the optics is definitely not a strong point of these or other cheaper Chinese LEDs. I was also satisfied with the finish out of the box, I had no problems with moisture behind the lens, they seem to seal very well polishing and painting the bracket and replacing Nuts and bolts by stainless. definitely not as good as a high end branded LED light and I would consider it the 'best buy for the money'. In general I am satisfied.
