Mule - Endpoint integration platform

The ability to be able to use Mule ESB with a variety of different environments, from a single host to a multi-host architecture. Mule is an open-source toolkit that allows for the configuration of end-to-end flows to be used across a variety of environments. It provides the ability to use a variety of different connectors that would allow for a variety of different use cases. I would say it was a little difficult to get up to speed with the toolkit, but it is easy to get up and running. While it is open-source, we are still paying for support. The biggest challenge was setting up new environments and configuring it for a variety of use cases. We are able to utilize Mule as a single point of entry to all our environments and a variety of different use cases.

  • This product has allowed us at my current job (as well other jobs) in providing integration points between systems within organizations using RESTful services or SOAP endpoints through Java code without having custom coding solutions built into those applications themselves which can require significant development time when building integrations among multiple disparate technologies/platforms.Mulesoft's
