I bought this for my laptop because I LOVE listening to music and hate the cheap, distorted plug-ins that exist and that I've tried. After a lot of research I settled on this Sony and I really love it! I'm not a techno fan, I don't use my phone for anything other than my phone so I don't need to pair it with other devices etc. This little box is a bomb and although it's no longer made I'm so happy I did bought them. It was so easy to set up and the sound quality was amazing! Since I have a very high quality stereo system, the sound quality is very important to me. If, like me, you found this speaker at a good price, I strongly recommend buying it. Great sound quality at a bargain price! It's been over a month since I bought this speaker. I LOVE the speaker but DON'T LIKE that it keeps turning off. No rhyme, no reason. I've asked others and taken their advice, but it's still closing. For me this is unacceptable and very annoying. It's connected to my laptop and not other devices, so it's as simple as it gets. I took the advice of one of the buyers and tested other devices that I do NOT use with this speaker. He suggested that other Bluetooth devices could be interfering. Because I don't use BT on those I've never tested to this day. BINGO! I turned off BT on the tablet and phone which are on the same table as the laptop and the speaker works PERFECTLY. I'm a techno idiot so thanks to everyone who helped!
