The only reason I gave this product 2 stars instead of 1 is that the timer function works very well and it comes with extra batteries. "Candles" light up at the same time every day and go out after 4 hours (or 8). The lights do not "flicker" even when set to "candle" mode. The color of the plastic is pink-cream and does not look like a real, slightly burned-out candle. In fact, they're frankly ugly. I kept them because they are completely hidden in the items I wanted candles for. As a standalone candle they are not attractive enough.
