Durable Tool - Timing Belt Tools

I was concerned that buying one of these tools might damage it. Here's what I can tell you: 1. Pay close attention to the orientation of the stem that rests on the valve spring. Make sure it has slack to move down so it doesn't break. If you push it against another valve or ledge you'll ruin it. That's a lot of pressure. 2. Use a 5/8 wrench to tighten and loosen. Use one hand to place your foot on the valve and the finger of that hand to hold the rocker arm against the valve when it's depressed, or you'll lose your retainers and drop the valve into the cylinder, which no one will want. Turn the key with the other hand. It's not easy to get an old heavy blanket to put on the engine and truck so you can literally kneel or lay down to make it easier. I have used this tool 48 times, 24 times and 24 times. It is still in the condition it arrived. You must ensure correct placement and operation of the instrument. The phaser holding tool was easy and worked like a champ. I haven't used the others but tried the wedge just to see if it would hold and it does. Don't worry and don't hesitate, save money, buy this tool kit. Fordtechmackulo is a man, but he will use the expensive one he has recommended many times as a mechanic and make a lot of money with it. I'll use it once maybe twice so I took a chance and it paid off. Good luck to you all
