My god, how I love her! I use them in my class when a student needs time or to cool down. Depending on the situation, I choose the time I think they need and they sit and stretch until the time is up. Sometimes they just like to sit and watch the colorful sand fall. (Honestly - 5 minutes of falling green sand?!) Because it's so bright it's also useful for me to be able to see from a distance when the time is up. A great alternative to the regular timer if you don't want a big buzzer to tell you when 5 minutes is up. I also like that each period has its own color; This makes them very easy to select when you want a specific time. LOVE!
