This is a great tool in our house. Instead of repeating the same thing over and over, our kids have learned to control themselves with these timers. We use them for screen time, reading, brushing our teeth, relaxing, cleaning etc. The quality is great, I was expecting something cheap but they are a good weight and feel really solid. My god, how I love her! I use them in my class when a student needs time or to cool down. Depending on the situation, I choose the time I think they need and they sit and stretch until the time is up. Sometimes they just like to sit and watch the colorful sand fall. (Honestly - 5 minutes of falling green sand?!) Because it's so bright it's also useful for me to be able to see from a distance when the time is up. I bought this timer in 2018, until recently there was not a single breakdown. I tested all the timers and they were only off for 5 seconds which is very accurate compared to the hourglasses I've used in the past. These things break so easily. The rubber caps at the top and bottom don't protect them at all, although they look like they should. In fact we already had rubber caps that came off two of them with very light use and we had to glue them back on. I cried when he fell just 3 feet to the ground.
