I thought it worked as it stopped my dog from barking. But what I didn't know until tonight when my dog started making strange noises was that it was burning her throat and irritating where the piece of metal sits on her neck to stop the barking. It's so red and sore, I'm so sad and sick (it was on the lowest level) that I didn't notice, but the bark collar covers the area so I can't see it without removing the bark collar. It is so sad that I cannot recommend this item for any dog. I will contact Revane regarding this item. Also, the collar worked even when she wasn't barking, even on the lowest setting, when other noises caused it to go off. So it's not just that she barks, it's that she barks even when she doesn't... as if she was corrected for doing nothing. I bought it because there are so many positive reviews and I thought it worked... but I wouldn't use it properly because it's harmful. Total disappointment, sadness and regret to have used this on my dog.
