I had a particular need for these hot swappable racks and spent weeks searching and looking through reviews and they fit my needs perfectly. My requirements are to have 2 of them, one OS on each hot-swappable drive, but my main requirement was that I didn't want the 2 OSs to know of each other's existence. So one of them is disabled when the other is in use. The power buttons were my ticket here. The ability to eject drives is also very handy, however the part where you have to pull to remove the hard drive is very plasticky. I thought I would break down the front door that kicked him out. I didn't, but I had to try harder than I wanted to and I have a feeling that repeated use will break down that door. The light in the front compartment is pretty bright too, but I have a front door that's blocking it. In short, if you plan on having a lot of hot-swap drives, this isn't the best option. At best, id says it's fine if you want to hot-swap every few months or so. This is for you if you want to be able to EXTREMELY easily separate drives that you don't use or use often or set up multiple operating systems.
