Review on πŸ“ Precision at Your Fingertips: Crescent Lufkin Chrome Yellow Measure by Patrick Nepal

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Neat tape, no frills

This tape is quite good as the title says, no frills, nothing fancy (no brake, no magnet at the end, nothing like that), but nonetheless it's a quality product. I used to have US made Lufkin bands, this is comparable to the old metal cased US made Lufkin bands. I find the blade easy to read and the clamp works well enough. The measurements are the same as other bands. The packaging says you can extend the band 10 feet before it bends, I've tried that, it's true and it's on par with other premium bands. And the matte finish on the tape makes it easy to read. I note that breaks are not marked on this tape, someone likes it so much, someone doesn't care. The stop button on the harness works perfectly and extends a full 25' and retracts properly. I think this feed will be in my regular rotation. It's head and shoulders above the cheap ones. If you're looking for a no-frills band for around $10, this is a solid choice. There are more pleasant ones for more, but this is a good hit on the roulette wheel. Quick update: I have a few scratches on the body of the band, the body looks like faux metal but is actually plastic with chrome. color with how easily it scratches. While I have other plastic bands that I use regularly, I don't really like the fact that they kind of disguise them to make them look like they're not. I don't think it really changes the usefulness, so I won't change my score.
